A life skill

I love this image. It was taken in Frans Joseph in NZ. I love the clear blue sky beyond the ice. It reminds me that we can get some clarity if we can keep our cool. 

No matter who you are or where you live, you will experience distress at some point in your life. One of the most fundamental skills for surviving life is knowing how to calm yourself down when this happens. 

At OSCAR, we aim to bring you some strategies for taking control of your emotions and overcome distress. 


Guided Visualisations

This is a UK based site that offers a range of different meditation tracks. The audio takes you on a 20 minute journey through the forest to a log cabin, complete with crackling fire sound effects, or off to your own private island. They even have one for pain management. There are a few freebies, then the rest you have to pay for, but her voice isn't too annoying.
